Despite its history, much of what goes on in a traditional signalbox is unknown to modern railway managers, who seem to prefer the isolated comfort of relay and computor based panels.

It pulls no punches, the modern era is not exactly bathed in glory, but it does recount one man's attempt to beat the system and in the process highlight the deficiences associated with the modern age.
